| Music has been a large part of my life. From the first time I heard the Beatles, I was captured.
I learned how to play guitar (self-taught) at the perfect time. The greatest guitar players of our time, bringing hit after hit to our local radio station, became my influences in music. It was due to radio that I became a local musician in my home state of Massachusetts.
I moved to the Mississippi Gulf Coast in early 1990 to find a wealth of musical genres ranging from the Blues to Zydeco (a form of Cajun music). I got to know several radio jocks due to playing in club bands in and around Biloxi, MS. Soon after I began being invited to radio stations to promote events my band was involved with. That was when I got the “bug”, the I want to be a part of this exciting world of radio.
Well it didn’t happen in Mississippi, (long story) thanks to Hurricane Katrina. After rebuilding the house my family (my wife and son) lived in, I moved to here to New Mexico. My wife, to become the Business Manager here at American General Media and my son moved here just after Katrina. I found work as steel fabricator and welder. I still had the urge to be in radio. I responded to a job search for a Board Operator here at AGM. I was hired and after learning board operating I continued to learn more and more about this media called radio.
Wow! I never would have imagined I could be on-air, yet here I am, also Producer of the BIG 98.5 morning show with Bobby Box the legend of New Mexico radio.
